A Monday Mini Moan:
So I don’t know if it is me just being fussy but I truly believe Austrians are amongst the worst car parkers in the world. They can not see the lines or if they do they don’t care because they are clearly incapable of parking a car straight between them.
If I had a euro for every car I have seen parked badly since moving to Austria I could afford a chauffeur driven Bentley and avoid myself the constant eyesore this pet peeve entails on me.
And having been in a situation before where I could not get my car door open wide enough to fit the baby seat in (I actually had to leave the baby on the floor of the car park while I backed up!) it is a big concern of mine.
Needless to say, when we bought a car with sliding doors it quickly became my saving grace and I wondered how I had ever survived before, especially considering the worst of all these Austrian parkers has the space next to ours in the garage.
So cheers to the sliding door, second only to baby wipes in the greatest invention ever. You have saved me many a hissy fit in a public car park.
What could you not survive without?
